Our weekend was filled with nothing but fun. We kicked it off Friday night at the Cracker Barrel, Audrey's request for dinner. After dinner we went home to rest up for our big day at "Disney Live" Ward was unable to join us due to work, but me, Audrey, my mother and grandmother headed to Pensacola around 11:00 Saturday morning. We stopped off for lunch at the Spot of Tea, downtown Mobile.

Audrey was a pot of endless chatter all the way to the Pensacola Civic Center. She was so excited, she could hardly wait. She kept repeating...we are going to have just so much fun. And indeed we did. Audrey participated in all the singing and dancing. She was in total awe as Mickey Mouse appear live on stage. When Minnie made her appearance, Audrey's eyes were bigger than ever, she starred in amazement, and grinned from ear to ear. She looked up at me and said, I just love her so much.

After the show, we went to have dinner at the Cock of the Walk....one of our favorites. Mobile no longer has one, so this was a real treat. We got home just before dark, and we were totally tuckered out. Falling to sleep came really easy.

Sunday morning Audrey got ready for a day with Kathy and Mary. They went to the Little Sisters of the Poor annual lawn party, where Audrey had a blast. Ward and I met the three of them along with Meme and my mother at the Olive Garden for lunch. After lunch, Audrey continued her day with Kathy and Mary. Ward and I did a little shopping and headed home to wait for Audrey's return.

Our weekend was busy and went by really quick, but the memories we made are priceless.

Catching Up...
Audrey is now in big girl school at St. Ignatius, and man is she thriving. She totally loves her new school, her friends, and her teacher Ms. Lucy. She is excited every morning, and has a story to tell every afternoon. Friday's are her favorite, because her teacher lets each child choose a trinket or candy from her treasure chest. Friday's are now known as "Treasure Chest Day" Audrey is now insisting that I let her walk herself to class. I don't think I can do that just yet. Maybe later in the year, but certainly not now. I don't think I'm ready to just drop her off and drive away while she walks herself to class.

One of the funniest things that has happened with Audrey and school is once a week Audrey gets to choose her outfit for the day. I had no idea that the day, her day to choose just so happened to be "Picture Day". Toward the end of September Audrey was bugging me to pieces about wearing all her Halloween shirts, dresses, etc. Well for "Picture Day", her day to choose, she wore one of her Halloween T-SHIRTS with a matching ribbon. This is also a shirt from last year. I had the cutest smocked dress with matching bow all picked out...all I needed to know was the date school pictures would be taken. Somehow I missed that memo. I got the proofs back yesterday, and was actually surprised...I really love the pictures. Audrey is extremely proud of her choice of outfits, and likes the photo on the left...so the left it is. Goodness I love that girl!
