Licking the Bowl
We were all geared up for Tropical Storm Fay. Thankfully, she never made it our way. I was prepared to be cooped up in the house for a few days, and made sure that Audrey wouldn't go stir crazy, or cause her parents to do the same. So Friday, after work, the three of us headed to the supermarket. We made sure that we had all we would need just in case. Audrey is becoming quiet the little shopper. She slipped a box of chocolate cake mix and white icing into our cart. So Saturday night the two of us got to down baking. Her daddy moved her table into the kitchen so she would be comfortable. We added, we mixed, we blended, and you guest it...Audrey licked the bowl. This was her favorite part of the process. I had so much fun baking with my little "Martha Stewart." Baking is one of her favorite things to do. She has baked cookies with her daddy and a yummy cake with me. This weekend, we are making cupcakes. I think cupcakes will be easier for her to hold and decorate. She is already asking me if it is time to bake. She's so funny. She's my girl.

Another fun weekend!
The Fendleys had another fun weekend for the books. I had the pleasure of joining Audrey and her daddy for their Saturday visit to Krispy Kreme. This was really an honor because she has never asked me to join them before now. Krispy Kreme on Saturday is just for Audrey and her daddy. Audrey showed me where to sit, and where to watch the donuts being made. She was so sweet, she even made sure that I got one of those funny hats to wear. After our donuts, we headed to Bienville Square to feed the squirrels. Audrey loves doing this. She scrapes the peanuts on the ground and the squirrels hurry to her. We must of had 30+ squirrels at one time in front of us wanting a peanut. After the park, we headed back to the house because our boss was in need of a nap. This was my favorite part of day. The down pour of rain really knocked us out.

Sunday, we slept in for just a bit. Not as late as we would have like, but when the boss says it's time to rise and shine, she means just that. So I got up and you guessed it, I made us our usual pancake breakfast. Ward and Audrey started chanting "we want pancakes". Afterwards, we got dressed and headed to Dauphin Island to see MawMaw. We visited for a little while, not too long. We took Audrey to the Sea Lab. She really had a good time. So did I. Of course we had to find so boats for Audrey to see, so we stopped at the Pelican Reef for a late lunch. Yummy!!! Audrey didn't get to nap, so you can bet she got a bit fussy toward the days end. I insisted that she stay awake until 7:30. That sweet baby passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow, with her parents not too far behind her.

Someone's in the Kitchen
Audrey and her daddy baked Chocolate Chip Cookies last night. As you can tell in the photos, she was so proud of herself. She washed her hands, LAID down on the kitchen floor, and neatly placed each cookie in the baking pan. Her daddy placed her pan of cookies in the oven as she clapped. Audrey drug her chair into the kitchen and sat in front of the oven, and very patiently watched as they baked. She requested that we turned the lights off so that she could see better...smart girl! She wanted her daddy to sit in a chair and watch with her. So, Ward, being the super-daddy that he is, did just that. I could tell that he was feeling like this was the longest 17 minutes ever. I had the honor of taking her cookies out of the oven, and getting her a cup of milk. She couldn't wait to share her creation with her mommy and daddy.

BUSY.....
I haven't been blogging lately. Things at work are really booming. I have been going to the gym with a friend from high school. She is really looking good. Me? Well I'm trying. I'm going to stick to it, and hopefully get my schedule in order within the next few weeks.

Audrey got to spend yesterday with her MawMaw and Meme. She didn't seem to miss us at all. Mother said that she was the perfect little angel. She behaved while they had lunch and pottied when needed. Audrey had a short nap, not the 2 hour nap that I belive is required for her busy little body. She was a bit testy with me, due to her lack of rest.

I left work early yesterday to hit the gym. Ward met my mom and tended to Audrey while I was out. Between the time I got home and the time Audrey was put in the tub, she pooped twice in her panties and pee-peed once. She didn't behave while we sat down to dinner. I asked her why she didn't tell me that she needed to potty? She just shrugged her shoulders at me. So what is my mother's secret?

This morning, the first word out of her mouth was MawMaw. Bless her heart, she wanted to spend another day with my mother, but she had to go to school instead.
