It's Finally Here!!
We are leaving tomorrow for a well needed vacation. We will be in Gulf Shores, AL for 6 wonderful days. I can hardly wait. Ward and I have been counting down the days since we left last year. We were scheduled to leave Wednesday, but we just couldn't wait any longer. So we stepped it up a day.
Ward has family in several different parts of the country, so we all try to get together every 4th of July week. We're not going to have as many family members this year, but we are sure to have a fabulous time, and we will certainly miss those who couldn't make it.
Our plans consists of doing a whole lot of nothing. Hopefully, Audrey will grow to like the feel of sand between her toes. I'm going to try to build a sandcastle with her...I'll keep all of you posted on that. I plan on sitting by the pool as much as possible. I will more than likely eat way too much, but who cares, I'm on vacation. Ward and I will set on the balcony every night, with a glass of wine, and listen to the sound of the Gulf of Mexico crashing on the shore. Can't get any better than that.
For all my family and friends, I hope all of you have wonderful, fun filled, and safe 4th of July holiday.

Splish-Splash
Who needs a $40,000 pool, when all it takes is a pink plastic $11.00 pool to put a smile on a little girls face. Audrey really loves her pool. She insists that her Daddy get in it with her. We had so much fun yesterday playing or as Audrey says 'immin". Ward is such a wonderful Daddy. He was just all to happy get in with her. Just look at the two of them...takes my breath away.

Slave to Fashion
This is just too cute to pass up. The other day we where getting ready to go out of town on business, and Ward told Audrey she needed to get dressed. Well she hurried to her room, or that's what I thought, but not hardly. She returned to show her Daddy that she was all ready for the trip. Audrey grabbed a pair of her daddy's boxer shorts, stepped right into them, and said to us...."Let's go!" The picture isn't the greatest quality. It was taken on Ward's cell phone. But I think this is just too cute not to share. I've said all along, Audrey is a "Punky Brewster" want-to-be.

For Tiffany
Ok Tiff, here are the Crocs. For those of you who don't know, Tiffany is my cousin, and she also the one who gave Audrey a pair of Hot-Pink Crocs for her birthday this year. Well needless to say, Audrey adores her flip-flops. They came with straps to help keep them on her feet, but Audrey very neatly wraps the straps underneath the soles and goes without. She hasn't figured out that the divider goes between her big toe and her second toe. So everyday she seems to wear them differently. I thought I had finally convinced her that these are her inside shoes, (slippers) or as she calls them her "ippas". Somehow she snuck by me the other day, and I was able to snap a picture of her little happy feet while in our backyard.

Cutie Pie
Is she a cutie or what? Yesterday after our "Pancake Breakfast" we drove over to Gulf Shores just for the heck of it. We took Audrey to beach where she only liked to see the boats in the water and the birds in the sky. She still doesn't want anything to do with the sand. For some reason, this terrifies my little girl. When I say she screams her head off...I mean just that. We drove around and had some lunch. We took Audrey to one of the many gift shops and she picked out a hat. Oddly enough, it says "Daddy's Little Girl". That would be her to a tee. I think she looks precious in it. She wore it all day, with her little ponytail sticking out the back. Her daddy wears one as well, so I guess they are just two peas in a pod.

We went to Ft. Walton Beach last week for a business meeting. We of course took Audrey with us. It was a quick and easy trip. Audrey was on her best behavior, but boy did she tire me out. Audrey has three babies that go with her everywhere. She sleeps with them, they ride in the car everywhere we go, etc. I let her take one baby into stores with her. This is so funny to watch as she decides which baby gets to go, and which babies have to stay in the car. She is extremely fair with them. She has them take turns. She chooses one, and kisses the other two bye-bye. All three babies sit in her lap while in the car. (As you can see in the photo) She has names for all and knows who is who. The big baby is her first doll that was given to her by her MawMaw for Christmas. Her name is Annie. Audrey looked alot like Annie at the time. She was close to the same size, even made the same little face that is permanently planted on Annie. The other two are her twins, Eddie and Betty. The way Audrey shows her love for her babies is just too cute and sweet.
