Is this a good looking guy or what?
This is my nephew Thomas at his Senior Prom. Thomas graduates from McGill Toolen this year. He is with his date Caroline...who by the way looks absolutely stunning. This boy is now taller than me, and I'm considered the tall girl of the family. Thomas is leaving for the United States Coast Guard this fall. I am so proud of this young man. He has really grown up to be an outstanding person.

It has been so much fun watching this boy grow up...all the funny things that have come out of his mouth. He once said that he wanted to join the circus and juggle when grew up. Thank goodness that isn't going to happen.

I have to tell this story. When he was only 5 years old, he wanted to be a waiter. One day he was playing restaurant and wanted to take my mother's (MawMaw) order. This is how it happened:

Thomas: Can I take your order?

MawMaw: I would like some peace and quite.

Thomas: Well we don't have peace and quite, but we have some peas and corn.

I still laugh everytime I think about that. I love you Thomas, and I am so very proud of you.

So They Call it the "Terrible Twos"
Okay, so I'm saying it....I think I'm ready for Audrey to start talking. For the past few days she has developed an attitude that is truly driving me nuts. She no longer wants to take me by the hand and show me what she is needing. She would rather scream her head off, kick her feet, and cut her eyes at me. So if this is how it will be at 2 years old...Lord help me when she is a teenager. We will really need to work on our communication skills. She is jabbering something, but I just cannot understand. Maybe that's what's making her so upset with me. Give me time Audrey, Mama will get it.

Not so Tired.....
Thank you Lord! Audrey finally let her Mommy sleep last night. We both slept great. She didn't kick or try to hog the bed, and she didn't snore. I'm still a little sleepy, but it Friday and the weekend is here. Hopefully, we will be able to get alot of much needed rest.

My nephew Thomas is having his Senior Prom tomorrow night, so we are planning to attend the call-outs. I can't believe he is graduating McGill in a couple of weeks. He is so grown up. After graduation, he is off to the United States Coast Guard. Hard to believe. I can remember the day that boy was born as if it were yesterday. So cute, so small, so sweet, now he is really cute, not so small, but still really sweet. I love that boy to death. Congratulations Thomas, you're the best!!

Snoring.........
I am so sleepy today. Both Audrey and her daddy snored all night long. I'm not sure who snored the loudest. I wish I could have found my tape recorder so that I could play it back for them. Tuesday's are usually mine and Ward's date night. We didn't get to go out last night. Ward was in New Orleans all day, and got back late yesterday afternoon, so we decided to skip it. We did take Audrey to Chuck-E-Cheese....she loves that place. I know that we will be having her birthday party there sometime in the near future. It's fun, but very chaotic. Today I am at work looking forward to going home, and hopefully getting to bed early. Please Lord, let my little one close her blue eyes early tonight.

Happy Birthday!!
Audrey celebrated her 2nd birthday today, and WOW did she have an amazing time. We had many family and friends over to help us ring in her big day. Audrey got a brand new swing-set from her Mommy and Daddy, and she absolutely loves it. She stayed on that thing until dark. My niece's Mary Catherine and Allie were here to help show her the ropes. She received some really great gifts from everyone, but of all the gifts, her favorite is a pair of hot-pink Crocs from her Aunt Renee and cousin Tiffany. I had her dressed so pretty in her new birthday dress, fancy white shoes, lacy socks, and matching bow. Well as soon as she saw those Crocs, the fancy shoes and lacy socks came off her feet, and on went the hot-pink sandals where they stayed for the remainder of the day. Would you believe that child went to sleep in those things? (I think Audrey is a "Punky Brewster" want-to-be)

Her cake was made by my favorite "Pollman's Bakery". I have to say it was truly the prettiest cake I have ever seen. Decorated with butterflies and daisy's. I decided on her first birthday to have her cake in the shape of the number "1", so this year of course I had it done the shape of the number "2". I think I will do number cakes until she makes her own request. Being that her birthday fell on a Sunday this year, we opted to have fried chicken with all the trimmings. I hope everyone enjoyed the great food. The Fendleys certainly did.

The day ended with Audrey and her parents completely tuckered out. We all had a late afternoon nap all snuggled together. When we woke up, all three of us had more chicken and cake.

Ward and I want to thank everyone for helping make our sweet little girl's second birthday a spectacular day. Thanks to everyone who came to her party, and for all the sweet birthday wishes she received.

Slow Down....
My sweet little girl will be turning 2 this Sunday. I can hardly believe it. Where does the time go? Why does it have to go by so fast? I get so emotional just thinking about her growing so quickly. I know the day will come when she will no longer need me to hold her until she falls to sleep, or want my kisses and love hugs a million times everyday. If it were up to me, I would freeze time right now, and Audrey would always be my shadow. Loving this little girl is truly the easiest thing I have ever done in my life.

When she turned one, I dressed in a beautiful pink tutu. She was absolutely adorable. She was just learning to walk, had very few teeth, wasn't talking yet, and she hardly had any hair. This year as she is turning two, she not only walks, she runs, has a month full of teeth, a head full of hair, and is saying many words, with an attitude to boot.

So many people ask me things like, won't you be glad when is able to talk, or when she's potty trained, etc. My answer is "YES" I can wait, I want to wait!! I know she is right on target for a two year old, and I am so delighted in her development, but "What in the world will she be doing next year at this time?" As for me, I will more than likely cry then too.

Prettiest Little Girl in the World
This was taken while we were in New Orleans. We were on the horse and buggy tour. I think it just to pretty not to share. I am so in love with this girl!
