Growing Up Too Fast
My little girl is growing up too fast. We have taken her crib apart, and she is now in her "Big Girl Bed".

As we were did-assembling her crib, I couldn't help but remember the day that her daddy put it together. I was very pregnant, and could offer very little assistance. We talked the entire time about how special her first bed would be, and we could hardly wait to see how pretty she would look sleeping in her bed. I remembered Ward saying to me that when the day comes we have to take it apart, we would be filled with both excitement for her and a little sadness for us. Boy he was right about that.

After a few minutes of trying to help, I just couldn't do it, but Audrey was certainly in the midst of things. This is just one more sign that our baby girl is growing up. Silly, I know, but things are happening way to fast for my liking. I stood in the hallway outside her room and just listened to the two of them. I felt my heart melt when I overheard her daddy say to her "when I put this together for you, I never thought you would be the one to help me take it apart." "Mommy is just a big crybaby isn't she?" And then Audrey with her sweet soft voice answered "Yeah".

Audrey loves her new bed, and she looks so grown up while she sleeps. She has yet to sleep in it all night, but in my opinion, she is adjusting much quicker than me. This photo was taken the day she turned six months old. She was just learning to sit up by herself. This was also the same day that we lowered her mattress, just one more of those sad signs I've been talking about. This is one of my many favorite pictures of her. If you look closely, you can see that she was actually a brunette before she went blond on me.

Pretty in Pink
Today is picture day at school. Audrey is wearing her new pink Easter dress, and she looks adorable. She has on her new white shoes with lacy socks, and let's not forge
t that big white bow in her hair. I was able to stay and watch as posed for the camera. After a few tears, she smiled so cute and perfect. I'm possitive the pictures will look wonderful.

This Girl Has Talent, Someone call Hollywood!

I am so proud of Audrey, she has learned how to POOT on demand. She thinks this is the funniest thing in the world. And of course, so does her daddy. He laughs more than she does. She does this first thing every morning. (like an old man) While giggling at herself, she nods her head yes, and says MO MO MO!! She is finally finished after about 10 poots, then she nods her head "No" to let me know she is all pooted out. I'm just so proud.
